CHW Connector 1.1

The CHW Connector serves as an instrumental platform aimed at facilitating the exchange of information, insights, and resources among Community Health Workers (CHWs). Developed by the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW), a reputable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the platform aligns with NACHW's mission to unify CHWs from diverse backgrounds and experiences, promoting health equity and social justice within communities.

The COVID-19 pandemic revealed significant challenges in the existing infrastructure supporting CHWs, highlighting the need for sustainable solutions. In response, NACHW has engaged with CHWs nationally to comprehend and address these barriers effectively. The establishment of the CHW Connector reflects their commitment to strengthening this workforce.

This platform offers a variety of key features for CHWs, including:

• Connections with fellow CHWs to foster learning, sharing, and resource identification.
• Access to state and local CHW networks, as well as topic-specific communities.
• Critical alerts regarding public health emergencies to ensure timely responses.
• A channel for sharing insights and information with NACHW to enhance the overall CHW movement.
